editI found Facebook posts from last month, including a video, of him celebrating his birthday although the posts say he's 97 which would mean he was born in 1927 and not 1926.

- Thanks @Skycloud86. I've updated the article to have 1927 as his birth year and explaining it a bit. I think there's a pretty clean split between the earlier interest stories written primarily in the 1980s putting his birth year as 1926 with the later stories written about him putting his birth year as 1927 it makes to switch.
