Talk:Hawthorn Suites

I don't understand why this page would be considered a violation and the link to its homepage needs to be removed. Please explain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Plin (talkcontribs)

  • It would help make me feel that you were here to improve Wikipedia rather than just promote these hotels, if you were to adopt a few Wikipedia standards like wikifying your work and signing talk page comments with ~~~~. Perhaps I am being overly picky but the first thing I see on the Hawthorn home page is a "quick reservations" form - which looks to me like blatant advertising. I tried to find a page on the site which was informative and not written in terrible advertising copy - and I could not find one! The best I can suggest is a link to the Hawthorne Experience. (As an example of what I was looking for, here is a link to an hotel website which I am happy to put into Wikipedia.) But put back whatever link you want - it's American so I don't care! (I may be a bit more fussy about St Martin's Lane!) -- RHaworth 18:32, 28 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
  • Okay I see. I thought it made sense to bring people to a site's homepage since well, it's the homepage. But I understand now, got it. Hopefully I'll do a good job with St Martin's Lane.--Plin 14:09, 29 June 2006 (UTC)Reply
