Background section
I think the article needs a background section, giving details on Jackson's charity work before he decided to set up a foundation. — Realist2 15:28, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah I agree, it sounds like a great idea. Pyrrhus16 (talk) 16:54, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
- It doesn't need to be incredibly detailed, enough so that the reader knows this wasn't some out of the blue thing. I think 2/3 small paragraphs would be enough detail. Some of the info can be taken from the main Michael Jackson page. — Realist2 17:13, 27 December 2008 (UTC)
- I added a few things from the main article. Feel free to improve it in any way. Pyrrhus16 (talk) 18:36, 27 December 2008 (UTC)

guys, I don't know how to do it myself, but can one of you please put the HTWF logo on the page? The logo is found on their website at the bottom to the VP's letter.

Defunct or Not??
no the site and foundation is not a fake
I ask because this link says the foundation doesn't have a website. Is it that the site is fake?
CBS News Report: Current Heal The World Foundation a Fake
The current foundation has no known connection to Michael Jackson. Jackson's estate has specifically disclaimed any connection to the current Heal The World Foundation and to Melissa Johnson, the founder.
This is according to CBS News on August 11, 2009:
"... representatives of the Jackson estate say the foundation is not linked, "The Michael Jackson estate has no connection whatsoever to the "Heal the World Foundation” run by Melissa Johnson," said Terry Fahn, a spokesperson for John Branca, the special administrator of the Jackson estate." http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/...n5234202.shtml
