Opinion?
I removed the following statement from the article: The song is particularly relevant after lead singer Layne Staley's death in 2002. This may or may not be true. Please feel free to return it to the article if you can explain what it means. Preferably with a source, since we can't allow original research. -Freekee 21:53, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
I also always wondered if Cantrell's lyrics, sung by Cantrell himself, are a criticism of Layne Staley. Obviously yes, right? Anyone got the inside story? 66.212.78.32 18:53, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Heavenbesideyou.JPG
Image:Heavenbesideyou.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
Challenging the description "blues rock"
User:Metalvayne is trying to use the source here to say that this song's genre is "blues rock". Per the source:
Do you still consider Alice In Chains to be a "heavy metal" band or are you just "rock" now?
No, we're part of the metal thing. We're a lot of different things, too. I don't quite know what the mixture is, but there's definitely metal, blues, rock and roll, maybe a touch of punk... The metal part will never leave us. And I never want it to.
My concern, of course, is that at no point are they talking about this particular song. Any application to this particular song appears to be original research. Therefore, I don't believe the genre can be used unless a better source is found. Thoughts? Sergecross73 msg me 12:49, 10 August 2012 (UTC)
