- Indeed, had to look it up here having read the article on BBC News. 88.148.192.192 (talk) 08:34, 15 December 2008 (UTC)
fr:Jambes lourdes says roughly:
- Heavy legs is the best known demonstration of venous system dysfunction; it bears the name of venous insufficiency. To understand where this unpleasant feeling of pain and heaviness comes comes from exactly, it is necessary to return to the operation of the human body and blood circulation system and more particularly of the return part of circulation. The heart propels blood towards all the cells in order to oxygenate them and nourish them.
And how about [1] which claims "Between 25% and 50% of European adults ... complain about heavy legs". Is it worth considering a merger with Chronic venous insufficiency? --Rumping (talk) 12:11, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- No objection if this is the medical consensus. Springnuts (talk) 18:14, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- I am not sure that there is a medical consensus on whether either condition actually exists. It seems to depend on location. --Rumping (talk) 01:47, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

cause may be venous insufficiency or peripheral arterial disease.
editI have rvd removal of this sentence, as it says only "may" - I think the sources are reliable enough to establish that. The general scepticism about the existence of the condition is well reflected elsewhere in the article. But I am not that fussed! Springnuts (talk) 10:05, 2 February 2011 (UTC)
