Biography-Dates are derived from

and they all give the same information!!!

Additional: Heiner Thiel is being one of the artists that are collected by the german well-known Carl-Jürgen Schroth, who also has an entry in the german wikipedia: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sammlung_Schroth - it says there: "Inhalte des Sammlung Schroth Die Sammlung enthält über 350 Werke von etwa 85 Künstlern aus verschiedenen Ländern, unter anderem Yves Klein, Hellmut Bruch, Heiner Thiel und Beat Zoderer. Sie ist damit eine der 236 führenden Privatsammlungen weltweit und unter anderem im BMW Art Guide vertreten. Aus der deutschen Kunstszene sind u. a. Leo Erb, Günter Umberg, Lore Bert und Ulrich Rückriem vertreten. Zu den Neuerwerbungsausstellungen erscheinen Kataloge." - here is an article on him: http://www.artblogcologne.com/%e2%80%9edas-sammeln-fing-erst-an-als-wir-kunst-kauften-obwohl-in-der-wohnung-kein-platz-mehr-war/ and here: "Sammlung Schroth: Inhalte des Sammlung Schroth: Die Sammlung enthält über 300 Werke von etwa 70 Künstlern aus verschiedenen Ländern, unter anderem Yves Klein, Hellmut Bruch, Heiner Thiel und Beat Zoderer. Sie ist damit eine der 236 führenden Privatsammlungen weltweit und unter anderem im BMW Art Guide vertreten. Aus der deutschen Kunstszene sind u. a. I broke that link, as state.gift is nothing but an unauthorized clone of deWP, it's no valid source at all. Any link here is SEO for this illegitimate business. Grüße vom Sänger ♫ (talk) 11:14, 27 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

The "Stiftung konzeptionelle Kunst" is going to have an exhibition with Heiner Thiel in January 2017: AUSSTELLUNG | HEINER THIEL WERKSCHAU 40 JAHRE 15. Januar 2017, 11:00 - 23. April 2017, 17:00 | 2 € HEINER THIEL WERKSCHAU 40 JAHRE Zum 60. The artist has exhibitions all over the world, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Australia, USA - i really don't know, what more you could need to have an entry in the wikipedia than that.

Gyanda, what is needed for a topic, any topic, to have an entry in Wikipedia is notability. In most (but not all) cases, this is demonstrated by showing that the topic has received substantial in-depth coverage in independent reliable sources. Of the four sources you list for his date of birth, one is his own site and two are definitely commercial galleries which sell his work; none of those three is independent, and they should not be used as references. I'm not sure about the Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral – what kind of place is that?
It may be that notability can be established in this case by showing that he has work in a number of significant collections; references would be needed to show that. I'm not sure about this, so I've asked at the Teahouse for other opinions. What I don't want to do is to move the page into article space before the notability is firmly established, because if I do it will (I believe) be nominated for deletion, and might not survive. I'm sorry if this is harder than you had expected. My poor level in German isn't helping much, either. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 23:55, 10 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
And now SwisterTwister has gone ahead and done that anyway. SwisterTwister, did you actually read the comments I left here and immediately above this? – I don't see where you have responded to them in any way. What sources do you see that discuss this person in depth? On what is his notability based? Unless some in-depth sourcing is quickly added to the page or notability is otherwise established, I plan (very reluctantly) to nominate this for deletion – exactly what I did not want to happen to it. Unless of course you'd like to move it back to draft space until there's consensus that it's ready for mainspace? Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 09:26, 11 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
Dear Justlettesrandnumbers,
  • 1. he has work in a number of significant collections - i mentioned them in the article plus i mentioned the Sammung Schroth here above, which is a very reputated collection here in germany - i gave the link to the german wikipedia on it.
  • 2. Tell me which article in a newspaper on an artist would start with his date of birth? Don't you think it is kind of unfair to ask me to get this - except from the references i named here - information from an article on the artist??? What reasons should 4 different links have to give a false birthdate??? For me this does not make sense, sorry.
  • 3. Together with all his group and solo exhibitions and his being in important collections and being named in newspapers, the references have articles named - i really do not know what you can further more want from an article to be published here. I am very glad that SisterTwister did publish it, it seems she found my arguments - named above and here and in the article - sufficient. I am really puzzled that this here causes so much trouble, I can only add that he really is a well-known artist - not only in germany - i think one really could get this from the article itself. I just feel helpless and in a way i feel being picked upon, and it feels unjustified, also... Perhaps a look on other articles on living artists - which i did look at before posting mine - could put the discussion here into perspective. The ones i read did not at all fulfill all your requests and are still online (no, i won't name them of course, i don't want to do harm on them), it's just to say that not all in the english wikipedia meets the requests i do get here... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gyanda (talkcontribs) 12:49, 11 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
And i would really like to know, who thought it was necessary to put all this boxes on every part of the article. It almost sounds ridiculous when i read this box at the "curatorial work" part - and directly beneath it the link to the catalogue! What more sources do you want? I am really not happy now, you people are destroying my article, while it is still alive and it just does not make sense to me... I am really sad now that all my effort is so mis-appreciated... :-(--Gyanda (talk) 12:53, 11 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
I did erase the - unreferenced section|date=July 2016 - at the group exhibition part, because it's just not true, I DO have references and yes, they are independent!!! --Gyanda (talk) 14:43, 11 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
I accepted because of the collected works. SwisterTwister talk 16:29, 11 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
