- ... that MicroProse was formed to publish Hellcat Ace after Sid Meyer boasted he could design a better video game than Red Baron in a week? Source: CGW

General: Article is new enough and long enough |

Policy compliance:
- Adequate sourcing: - An inline reference or two would be welcome for the Gameplay section. Additionally, the sentence "In 1982, Meier was working for a cash register company in Baltimore", seems dubious (I understand that the accompanying note reads, "The company is not specified in any of the listed references, but National Cash Register was headquartered in Baltimore", but this seems like original research). There is also currently a cite error, in that the named reference "lemon64" was invoked but never defined.
- Neutral:
- Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing:
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation |

Overall: I just wanted to clarify, and forgive me if this is just me being ignorant of game design terminology: the article makes multiple mentions of Sid Meier having "written" Hellcat Ace and other games. In the context that it's being used here, is that essentially just another way of saying he programmed them? —Matthew - (talk) 05:23, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
- @MatthewHoobin: Ah yes, feature creep at it's finest. Previously the Gameplay sections were treated like Plots for books and movies, where the work was the reference for the work and 3rd party cites were not required (have a concern? play the game and see).
- In any event, all the issues have been addressed. And yes, "written" is relatively common vernacular for "the act of typing program code", but I have updated the hook itself to exactly match the source. Maury Markowitz (talk) 16:03, 20 January 2023 (UTC)
- @Maury Markowitz: Looks good to me! Apologies again for any instances of my being a bit unfamiliar with the gameplay and the relevant terminology. Perhaps I should play it someday. Cheers! —Matthew - (talk) 05:28, 21 January 2023 (UTC)
