Sources
editI've just removed the prod tag. While it is currently unsourced, a quick search on the custom WP:VG/S Google search engine brings up several articles, which in my opinion would not allow for a prod.
Gameplay
editThe current status of the page describes the gameplay of every alpha version in great detail; while of dubious encyclopedic value, they are also a major spoiler for the game. Should they be removed? --2001:B07:A6E:5829:9639:6A86:468B:76AD (talk) 18:39, 28 May 2017 (UTC)
- Spoilery is irrelevant for Wikipedia, this is an encyclopedia and not a step-by-step guide or advertisment page, so it will not be consored. Regarding the gameplay itself, there surely is too much detail, but it is all sourced. I haven't checked every source for every claim, but will do that eventually. Overly detailed
editI've added an overly detailed tag to this page because of the gameplay section. I think that most people coming to this page don't need to know each step in the game. Happia (talk) 23:59, 21 June 2017 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Moved as requested, and the old article Hello Neighbor moved to Hello Neighbor (organization) — Amakuru (talk) 10:47, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
Hello Neighbor (video game) → Hello Neighbor – Given the page view statistics, it seems to ma that this should be the Wikipedia:PRIMARYARTICLE. (t) Josve05a (c) 10:24, 18 August 2017 (UTC) --Relisting. Steel1943 (talk) 23:54, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
Opposethe target is a non-profit with significant news coverage. In ictu oculi (talk) 11:02, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- Is this now a multi-move, moving the organization to Hello Neighbor (organization)? In ictu oculi (talk) 09:03, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
- Since it would be impossible to move this article to Hello Neighbor without moving the article occupying that name already, it would follow. (t) Josve05a (c) 17:45, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- Is this now a multi-move, moving the organization to Hello Neighbor (organization)? In ictu oculi (talk) 09:03, 26 August 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose yup. ^ see above. The target is an active, operational US-based non-profit with significant news coverage. Lalalalllla7 (talk) 12:38, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- Comment When searching for just "Hello Neighbor", on Google News search, only 3 of top-11 results are about the non-proft, and 0 of the top-9 (first page) of Google web search is about it. Keeping a US organization as a primary topic, rather than one with more web hits (and the one with the Google Knowledge Card), is a bit US-centric and not reflective of what readers is actually looking for. I suggest moving this to the primary topic (or making is a dab all togehter if no primary topic can be found). I also want to note that "Hello Neighbor game" has 190 000 Google News results, and "Hello Neighbor pittsburgh" as linked above only has 3 610. (t) Josve05a (c) 23:02, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- Support: per Josve05a's breakdown above. Hello Neighbor (video game) has received more coverage in independent, reliable sources. DrStrauss talk 22:30, 24 August 2017 (UTC)
- Support moving the game to Hello Neighbor and moving the organization to Hello Neighbor (organization). The game is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC.[1]--Cúchullain t/c 14:34, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
- Comment I have dabified the Hello Neighbor page and moved the previous article to Hello Neighbor (organization) to avoid conflicting view on the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC guideline (people unfamiliar with the game but familiar with the orga will argue just the opposite of Josve05a). I would like to redirect the question to 'should the dab page be moved to "Hello Neighbor (disambiguation)", or is the current solution satisfactory?' (keep in mind that opinions always differ) Pinging above commenters for re-evaluation: @Josve05a, Steel1943, In ictu oculi, Lalalalllla7, DrStrauss, and Cuchullain. Lordtobi (✉) 20:16, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- I would like to link this discussion to Wikipedia:TWODABS for future discussion. I'm happy with the current situation now, as long as the organisation isn't the primary topic. (t) Josve05a (c) 20:44, 27 August 2017 (UTC)
- The big problem with the statistics comparison is that the organization's article (also at its former target) is an orphan, which easily chocked its viewcount. Since Hello Neighbor is currently upcoming and therefore a hot topic at the moment. As soon as both pages can be evaluated equally (moderate number of links to them, no current-event fuzz surrounding either), a primarity can be seen. As long as that is not the case, we should discuss on other accounts, or keep as is currently. Lordtobi (✉) 21:04, 27 August 2017 (UTC)

- The dab page is still unnecessary per WP:TWODABS. There are only two topics, and the game is clearly the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC among them. I'm still in favor of moving the game to Hello Neighbor and just using a hat note.--Cúchullain t/c 13:59, 28 August 2017 (UTC)

Coming to nintendo switch.
editI was doing some digging on pegi and found the hello neighbor has a rating for the nintendo switch issued on the 8th of december here is the source http://www.pegi.info/en/index/global_id/505/?searchString=hello+neighbor&agecategories=&genre=&organisations=&platforms=NSW&countries=&submit=Search#searchresults I dunno how to cite or anything else on wikipedia that well. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.163.69.35 (talk) 03:26, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
- Ratings are usually never reliable for game platform info, as many companies like to get their games rated in case they ever plan to release it there. While a Switch release is not impossible, actually, it is far from impossible, but we need a proper announcement and a secondary source covering it to include it here. I request to help edit this article so that it's easier to read and follow. When the Acts are being described, they are messy and improper grammar is used. For example,Act 1 is described as: "...In a cutscenes,we can see that the neighbor is hide the red key for the basement in the attic (Second floor) of his house.Like alpha to beta, our task is steal his key and open the basement. After open the basement,we can see an openable washing machine lead to mysterious room.In that room, there is a bed, chinese foods, candles, and cans. There is one window that not has glass on it so we can pass trough it.After we pass it,we must find a way to get out from the basement. We must solve the puzzle and maze around the basement so that we can get out from there.Next,After we find the EXIT door,we get chase by the neighbor until we find the closed door.Because the door is closed,we captured by the neighbor and wake up at the beginning of Act 2." The article hasn't been edited since the 26th of February and desperately needs to be updated so the article seems more legitimate. Beachrappy (talk) 05:58, 7 March 2018 (UTC)

This is not the place to request editing permissions or change to protection levels. If you can suggest a better text than the text you identify as poor, then please do so. Glitches
editI have encountered a glitch I call "good neighbour" or "no way home neighbour" where the neighbour is trapped outside of the barrier I only had it happen in act 3 92.13.121.70 (talk) 17:36, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
So is this article for the first game or the entire series?
