B class review and comments

B class. While reading the article, I got the impression that this pilot may have claimed more victories over the RAF than the RAF lost planes. Was I supposed to get this impression? I'm always amazed at the staggering number of victories credited to some German WW2 pilots, and wonder if the Germans were much more lenient in crediting victories than the Allies. @Djmaschek: This question periodically comes up on Wikipedia. I recommend the book: Tate, Robert (2008). Hans-Joachim Marseille: An Illustrated Tribute to the Luftwaffe's "Star of Africa". Atglen, Pennsylvania: Schiffer Publishing. ISBN 978-0-7643-2940-1. Tate, a former major in the USAF, looked into this topic from a Marseille perspective and found the level of corroboration at the same level as some of the Allied flying aces in the North African theater of operation. The article Confirmation and overclaiming of aerial victories during World War II also makes an attempt at describing instances and reasons for discrepancies in numbers. Severe distortion

The "chronicle of aerial victories" chart is causing severe distortion of the article. Unsure how to fix. - Hunan201p (talk) 08:50, 24 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
