Structure of the article
editThis article reads like it's been cut straight from the Henley-in-Arden tourist website! Maybe it has been...but whatever, the tone of the article is completely inappropriate for Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not an advertising space, it is an encyclopaedia, providing balanced and impartial facts about subject matter. This article ain't it. Murderouspigeon 20:31, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- I've re-written the article from scratch, I hope It's an improvement. G-Man * 22:27, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- User:G-Man's work was a great improvement. However, after the problems with continual reversions into a non-encyclopedic entry and back, the new material added is interesting, but much more attention needs again to be given to making the article's structure conform more to the guidelines of Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements. Asylums
editI've moved the section called, at the moment "Lunatic Asylums" into the "History" section as a sub-section. That way, the article becomes more compliant with the guidelines Wikipedia:WikiProject UK geography/How to write about settlements. Additionally, I think calling the sub-section by an archaic colloquialism is not good practice, as it would be misunderstood by people. DDStretch (talk) 10:19, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
- I agree about the name (I've already renamed it from "Madhouses") but can't think of a better alternative. "Asylums", perhaps? Andy Mabbett 10:51, 30 April 2007 (UTC)
- You can always try the name that the cited books use: madhouse. Jonathan de Boyne Pollard 16:41, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- After all, Henley-in-Arden was once the madhouse capital of Warwickshire. Jonathan de Boyne Pollard 16:56, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
