There's a Sir Henry Ellis, apparently 1777-1855, who traveled as an ambassador to China. This is probably not the same person as the librarian, but I don't know enough about either of them. The ambassador was presumably the one named as Privy Counsellor. David Brooks16:17, 31 August 2005 (UTC)Reply
