Bias/Inconsistency
editI'm no specialist, but: There is no cause of death mentioned here. Whereas in this article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pilgrimage_of_Grace it says that he was executed for taking part in the 1536-1537 popular uprisings against the dissolution of the monasteries, which would correspond with his year of death.
At the moment this bio seems biased in that it insinuates that Henry Percy somehow 'wasted' himself... While he could just as well be seen as a proto-socialist who shared his wealth and gave his life in the commoners' cause. Max Nemo 11:39, 12 May 2009 (GMT)
Also he did have a surviving heir that was brought to America. If you go to Dawnpiercy.com I wrote an article on it. It's my family. So this basically said that I don't exist. Dawn M Piercy (talk) 04:38, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
Vandalism?
edit"Having 45 children that he totured" looks like vandalism to me. It doesn't even make sense. --Bee King (talk) 02:29, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
- @Bee King: Thanks for spotting that, now changed back to what it said before! Richard Nevell (talk) 09:01, 1 May 2019 (UTC)
Earl of Northumberland succession box
editAs I have noted at Talk:Thomas Percy, 7th Earl of Northumberland there is an inconsistency between the succession box for Earl of Northumberland in this article and that in the article for Thomas Percy, 7th Earl of Northumberland. Personally, and as I have broadly explained in the other discussion, I think what is here is OK. However, depending on changes being made to the other article it might be the case that the successor should be changed to - "Vacant (Nextheld by [[Thomas Percy, 7th Earl of Northumberland]|Thomas Percy]])".
