Adversaria sinica?

edit

Is it really necessary to have this laundry list inserted into this article. It looks quite ridiculous.--Niohe 00:47, 11 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

I put it there because I thought it was interesting, and because that book isn't widely accessible. Dazera (talk) 00:11, 24 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Written works

edit

I have manually restored the removal of the Written works section using the Google Books tool with all the parameters in the {{Cite book}} format and removed some without GBlink and any verification of some sort. Ideally we should link the works to the proofread and transcribed scans on Wikisource, when/if they became available there. Solomon7968 13:13, 6 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Victor H. Mair praises Giles at his blog

edit

Unlike Endymion Wilkinson, sinologist Victor H. Mair admires Giles pretty much. --tickle me 03:19, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for pointing this out. Giles was indeed a giant, but Mair may also be using him as a hyperbolic stick to beat EasyChinese, since Giles' Chinese Without A Teacher, (available here) and (here) is a sixty page listing of individual sentences. ch (talk) 05:40, 7 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
