Article Merger
editThis article should be merged with Dutch_Reformed and then include more information about it within Dutch Reformed history and church expansion because (1) it is a small article and won't expanded in a reasonable time about a "unremarkable" denomination in a more notable church movement (cf Wikipedia:Merging Reason #3) and (2) it has been Stub Class for a while. I agree with Novaseminary's notability concerns and suggestion to delete the article to an extent. I agree with deleting it on the condition that it is merged with Dutch_Reformed. After the merger, then the article should have a re-direct in addition to being deleted. In merger, information about the small, growing denomination is preserved while addressing notability concerns about THIS short article that does need to be deleted, and when the denomination becomes much larger, only then consider a separate article for it. - Dutch Reformed Church is about the old NHK. The merge and redirect should be to Netherlands Reformed Congregations#1993 Church Split, where this denom is specifically mentioned as being the result of a split (apparently the HRC used to be called the Heritage Netherlands Reformed Congregations per the note here). BTW, if you want to start an article on the Dutch Reformed tradition, that would be great. I don't have the knowledge, but the subject deserves a WP article. --JFHutson (talk) 15:39, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- Merging to the 1993 Church Split as you suggested could also be a possibility. Coviepresb1647 (talk) 16:30, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
- I agree with the merge/redirect to the split section of NRC article (though that article needs refs to 3rd party sources pronto). That seems a good target for a subject that doesn't meet WP:ORG on its own but that makes sense as part of a wider article. Novaseminary (talk) 03:04, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
