- Welcome to DYK! New enough and long enough. No DYK credits, so no QPQ necessary. There was a "citation needed", but I've gone and found a 1928 newspaper article to resolve that. (@SecretName101: You might want to look into WP:TWL for access to Newspapers.com if you are going to be dealing with a lot of Chicago-area topics—I was recommended this in DYK nearly two years ago and it resulted in me writing a lot of articles!) I find the article writing is a bit choppy with short paragraphs, so maybe some longer ones would help to improve the body of the text. The hooks all check out (AGF on ALT3). This looks good though and meets the DYK requirements, even if there's room for improvement. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 04:15, 31 December 2020 (UTC)
- Hi, I came by to promote this. I removed the Find a Grave cite as it is not a reliable source; it is user-written. Now you have a number of uncited facts. If he died in the U.S. you could check personal details in the Social Security Death Index and U.S. Census records at Family Search. It's also a good idea to get free access to WP:Newspapers.com, which yields up a treasure trove of contemporary articles from the beginning and middle of the 20th century. - Thanks for catching that, Yoninah. Sammi Brie (she/her • t • c) 18:21, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
- Was able to add citations for all but one piece of info that were left un-cited. Removed that piece of info, until I can find a source to cite it. Will not effect any of the hooks included above. SecretName101 (talk) 18:49, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thank you. Restoring tick (for ALT2) per Sammi Brie's review. Yoninah (talk) 19:14, 2 January 2021 (UTC)
