Too Many Lists/What Wikipedia Is Not

edit

Does anyone else think that we should cut out a lot of this information, specifically the comprehensive lists of figures? Per WP:Indiscriminate, I'm of the opinion that some of this material is not valuable from an encyclopedic perspective. Maybe it would be better off having some sort of separate page for these lists, like something along the lines of List of HeroClix supplements. For comparison, you could see the articles for Heroscape and List of Heroscape supplements. If no one responds within the next few days, I might go ahead and start this process. Thanks in advance for any cooperation/discussion. TNstingray (talk) 15:43, 30 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

To whom it may concern, all comprehensive lists of miniatures and supplements have been transferred to their own page, which can be found at List of HeroClix supplements. Based on my experience editing similar pages, I felt that this was the best way to fulfill Wikipedia's criteria for notability and encyclopedic value. The main focus of this page should be the game mechanics, history, social impact, etc. of HeroClix. Comprehensive lists of miniature waves and expansions are secondary to this. No one else gave input, so I took the initiative to go ahead and accomplish this goal. Everything that has been removed is intact in its original format on the new page. I am open to other suggestions regarding format and citations. TNstingray (talk) 16:20, 1 April 2022 (UTC)Reply
