Name?
editThere are quite a few things called "Heroic Age" and "The Heroic Age" with their being no clear reason why this should be more important than a number of those. This article should probably be at The Heroic Age (comics) and this name should redirect to Heroic Age (disambiguation). (Emperor (talk) 16:07, 27 January 2010 (UTC))
- Moved page to Heroic Age (comics), per naming conventions also the word; The is not a part of the title. -TriiipleThreat (talk) 13:22, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, it is called "The Heroic Age" as seen in all promotional images. And here's a page on Marvel.com that announces it as "The Heroic Age." So, you weren't justified in your premature moving. You should have discussed it first. Rau J (talk) 05:09, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, no. It's the same case as in Avengers (comics). The word The is written within the comic's logo but is simply known as Avengers.-TriiipleThreat (talk) 12:58, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
Promotion
editIf you want to chart a bit of the promotion, it appears teaser images (of the Big Three in silhouette) were released in mid November last year [1]. (Emperor (talk) 17:20, 28 January 2010 (UTC))
Storyline, Crossover Event or Era?
editFrom what I've gathered this is not a storyline as stated in article but rather a self discribed new era in Marvel Comics. Thoughts? --TriiipleThreat (talk) 19:00, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
- It's just like "the Initiative" or "Dark Reign". It's a status quo. Or in the case of the X-Men, it's like the recent "Divided We Stand", "Manifest Destiny" and "Nation X" labels that Marvel Comics has been using over the past few years. On a lot of comic books it basically amounts to a blue and gold banner at the top of the comic. So no, it's not a storyline or crossover event. You could easily call it an "era" though. DC is doing something similar with "Brightest Day," right now, the difference being that that's an actual storyline with its own series and direct tie-ins. You could call "The Heroic Age" an "ongoing crossover" in a loose sense, but there's not really any connection between the majority of the comics that fall under the banner. New status quo?
editThe lead to the article says that this initiative establishes a new status quo -- but the article doesn't give any details about what changes were made. Can someone please add a summary of how the status quo has changed? Thanks, Aristophanes68 (talk) 18:08, 19 July 2020 (UTC)
