Added a section on twentieth century examples of the use of the heroic couplet. At the moment I have only included references to Nabokov and Pale Fire, because that's what brought me to the page in the first place. I know what I have written is sketchy and not too accurate, but I intend to expand it, especially concerning the allusive nature of modern use of HCs. Also something about Eliot and The Wasteland and Four Quartets.Grcaldwell (talk) 23:00, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
This should not be redirected from stichic - stichic needs its own entry - stichic is lines of equal meter and length not broken into stanzas. A heroic couplet as a poem by itself is stichic, but not all stichic poems are heroic couplet. Ken M Quirici 16:12, 3 March 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Kquirici (talk • contribs)
