editI have studied Heterocystical symbionics for eleven years at the Institute. No where in this am I able to ascertain the function of a heterocyst, nor its larger meaning in the grand scheme of biological relationships, much less the parasystical that are led by a grander and more imense beleif.

If a cyanobacterium is growing continuously in nitrogen supplemented environment, are there any chances of losing the genes for heterocyst development, as they are no more in use.

Heterocytes vs heterocysts
editCampbell, N. A. (2008).Biology. New York: Pearson states "heterocyst" is the former name of heterocytes. I was wondering whether this is an international adaption, a typo or really a new spelling for the word heterocyst. If it's a new spelling a referal page could be made.
