Teeth and stuff

edit

After several attempts at providing useful edits to articles here, editor jwinius has made it clear that they are not wanted. He follows me around and clicks undo on everything I do without any attempts at discussion in the articles' talk pages. Since he is apparently the editor-in-chief here and feels he has unilateral authority, I'll be moving on. I won't be back. Gladtohelp (talk) 19:28, 15 September 2008 (UTC)gladtohelpReply

No, I don't follow you around; I've just worked on all of these articles and happen to have them on my watchlist. Everybody is welcome to contribute, but when someone comes along and changes referenced information without offering any alternative references of their own, that's never a good thing. In cases where good faith is evident, I often leave a note on the user's talk page, but in this case I only left a short explanation in the edit summary since this was the same kind of mistake you made in the Agkistrodon contortrix mokasen article. --Jwinius (talk) 21:39, 15 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Venom

edit

This article is incorrect in mentioning that hognose snakes have only toxic saliva. They do in fact possess venom, and due to the enlarged posterior maxillary teeth are classified as rear-fanged mildly venomous snakes. XPS420 (talk) 13:17, 22 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Synonyms

edit

Are the synonyms listed in the tax box legit? They seem to be all over the board (world). I don't have access to the Wright and Wright citation to check it out, but perhaps someone else will be so kind as to confirm or refute this. Pinethicket (talk) 15:02, 27 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Inconsistent with the number of species listed.

edit

In the opening paragraph it says there are three recognized species, but the species section lists four in the table. 50.35.73.211 (talk) 07:17, 28 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
