What are the chances this may be a prequel to the actual show? It's a long shot but the mother looks like Ash's mother and the protaganist of the game looks exactly like a younger version of Ash (though you never see his face) The house is different but they may have moved and the surrounding environment looks a lot like Pallet Town. The Pikachu may or may not be the same however.
Unlikely - Ash picked up Pikachu for the first time at Oak's lab, remember? 04:27, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
Wasn't there an in-joke in the Japanese version, at least?
I seem to remember hearing that saying "PlayStation" into the mic would make Pikachu shock you in anger. Is this true or just a rumor? 04:28, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
Flying Acorn
The flying acorn is met with much skepticism and is consistently removed from the items list. I have the item myself on my save file but I have no possible way to prove that this item exists. Can anyone help out here?
- Not the only game to support the voice pack Densha de Go 64 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Densha_de_Go%21_64 does as well. Cartoonborg 22:31, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
what's the pun?
Article says the japanese name is a pun, but it only gives one meaning of the name. The name sounds like "Pikachu genki desu", but what does the actual name "Pikachu genki dechu" mean? --86.135.81.174 (talk) 02:20, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
- でちゅう (dechū) doesn't mean anything; it's just a cutesy portmanteau of です (desu) and チュウ/ちゅう (chū--as in Pikachu). -sesuPRIME talk • contribs 02:59, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
Reception - Arizona Republic
I know that in order to maintain NPOV Wikipedia tries to cite positive and negative reviews in equal numbers, but does that really justify referencing The Arizona Republic? I thought that a source has to be in some way significant or reliable, and while The Arizona Republic may be both as a whole, it is most certainly not in regards to the rating of video games. Maybe one of the reviews referenced on this meta critic page would serve better? 174.19.132.176 (talk) 03:37, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
- Yeah, it doesn't seem to really contribute much. If you are a fan of the anime, you will like any game Nintendo throws at you. This whole article really needs a lot of help. It actually was a great game IMO. Blake (Talk·Edits) 05:01, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
