Hidayat Orujov, a leader of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan, warned Armenians in Sumgait: "If you do not stop campaigning for the unification of Nagorno Karabakh with Armenia, if you don't sober up, 100,000 Azeris from neighboring districts will break into your houses, torch your apartments, rape your women, and kill your children."" - this WP:REDFLAG statement allegedly stated by Hidayat Orujov in 1988 while being in the Sumgait city.

1. I did research and found that first time that claim about Hidayat Orujov was made by Adam Schiff on February 28, 2013 during his speech at Congress[1]. I could not find any RS dated earlier than that. Obviously Adam Schiff was not in the Sumgait to personally hear that statement. Also Adam does not provide reference to prove his words, which makes his words just hearsay. For the record, Adam Schiff is pro-armenian politic[2] and I highly doubt his neutrality.

Moreover, I could not find any source claiming that Hidayat was a leader of the Communist Party of Azerbaijan. I checked bibliography of Hidayat Orujov [3] and did research and found nothing. Hidayat responded to this claims and stated that in 1988 he was not holding any governmental position, and he wasnt even in the Sumgait at that time[4]. This makes what Adam Schiff said not only hearsay, but inaccurate hearsay.

2. Second source[5] is highly partisan source and I doubt its neutrality. It is published by Armenian Assembly of America and does not provide reference to prove claims against Hidayat, which again makes their claim just hearsay.

3. Another source, which I found during my research is book Blood and Circuses published in 2020. Book is written by Rob O’Connor, who is a freelance journalist, specializing in politics and football in Eastern Europe. I actually bought that book and found out that Rob O'Connor word to word repeats what Adam Schiff said and not providing any reference to prove his claim or any further research on that. I would expect book, which is written 32 year after alleged event, to provide reference to backup such extraordinary claims.

Conclusion: It is not only WP:BLP case, which itself requires use of high-quality sources. This is WP:EXCEPTIONAL case which shall be supported by multiple high-quality sources, but non of the provided sources meet that criteria. Also, there no source dated close to alleged statement of Hidayat. If leader of Communist party had said such an exceptional statement, then there should be any source close to the date of the incident to prove that. In our case the oldest one dates back to 2013, 25 year later. Moreover, Hidayat was a not leader of the Communist party, and per his words he wasn't even in Sumgait at that time. Considering all above, this alerged statement of Hidayat is Hearsay. I removing that material from article, because there is no place for hearsay in Wikipedia, especially for REDFLAG hearsay about the biography of living persons, which my damage their reputation.
