The article needs more sources to demonstrate notability, and also needs more understandable language

@Maxwellsdaemon2: Thank you for your efforts to contribute to Wikipedia. In order for the article you created to merit inclusion in Wikipedia, it must meet the requirements for Wikipedia:Notability. That means that you most list multiple authoritative, independent sources that cover this topic, and therefore make it en encyclopedic topic. Meeting this requirement is necessary for keeping this article in Wikipedia. If not, it can be nominated for deletion.

In addition, the article should be made more understandable to non-experts (Wikipedia:Make technical articles understandable).

I hope you can improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. Al83tito (talk) 03:23, 23 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

The database structure and search method used in the cited 2016 HNSW paper were, to my knowledge, first introduced in my (now expired) patent published 2002-09-03: https://patents.google.com/patent/US6446068B1/ (I believe the paper describes a much better indexing algorithm, though.) I don't think I'm objective enough to edit the main article page, but hopefully others will add definitions of these elements, as well as the overall technique (which could also make the article more understandable to non-experts), and consider adding more references.
