Why this? There are already six references.
In many languages the moon is female: latin: luna, spanisch: la luna. In very few languages it is male: german: "der Mond". Only (?) in english it has no gender: "the moon". The word "Mooness" is a blend, but IMO it's necessary to clarify, that the moon is a female in this song. If Mooness ist not good, what would be better? Hybscher 10:37, 30 June 2007 (UTC)

editI found this article useful... I am learning spanish and initially just found a copy of mecano's original version. It sounded so familiar that it made me do some research on the song itself. And there I found out several other people have covered this old spanish song... so it makes sense now, I must have heard the song before... Plus a short bit about what the song is all about is really helpful. I don't think it should be deleted.
- Hello! The discussion about whether it should be deleted is here if you're interested. The consensus so far is that it should stay. Nerwen 00:44, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
The core message of the song relates to an "accidentally" albino child born in superstition.
editThe description of the child's skin color and eyes reveal that the kid was born an albino. Because of the superstitious and cultural environment (gypsy Spain), the incident is "solved" with intolerance and (apparently) later explained as a phenomenon of moon influence. - Well that's interesting. Sources, anyone? --Adoniscik(t, c) 08:33, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
