The article would benefit from translation of its German and Indonesian language counterparts. Karl (talk) 12:41, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
Article Hilal already exists. I suggest merging with that. Karl (talk) 13:15, 10 March 2017 (UTC)
The Hilal article is a disambiguation article Karl (talk) 12:46, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
- As the most important use of term Hilal in English, in the context of cresent moon, is the Islamic calendar, it seems to make sense to merge the term to Islamic calendar#Length of months where the concept is already discussed. This seems a more specific and helpful merge target than the broader cresent merge proposal. Klbrain (talk) 09:33, 21 April 2018 (UTC)
- Considering the current state, I'd say there is nothing actually mergable. I would rather just redirect this to Hilal and let the reader decide whether they want to know about the crescent moon in terms of calendar determination or in terms of its symbolism. --HyperGaruda (talk) 02:00, 26 May 2018 (UTC)
- Agreed; however, given that there is one reference that might be worth moving, I've called this a merge. Klbrain (talk) 21:59, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
