Dates Error????

edit

ERROR?? -- see date panel - Hilda of Whitby (614-723??)

So...?

edit

cannonization wasn't introduced untill the twelfth cantury by gregory IX. Fact box is incorrect, her death was not 723 'In the year 680, a synod was held in the plain of Haethfelth, concerning the Catholic faith, Archbishop Theodore presiding; John, the Roman abbot, was also present. The same year also the Abbess Hilda died at Hilda died at Streanaeshalch'. Bede H.E. [IV, 17, 18, 23.]

What got her canonized? I can't find anything in here explaining what miracles are attributed to her. 68.39.174.238 04:27, 7 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Edwin's niece?

edit

She was not Edwind's niece. But the daughter of Edwin's nephew: 'For she was nobly born, being the daughter of Hereric, nephew to King Edwin',( H.E. III, 23) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 128.243.220.22 (talk) 14:32, 16 January 2007 (UTC).Reply
