Where is the school logo? It isn't on the article's page! The world is about to end... in 2012! (talk) 02:24, 15 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

school article guidelines

edit

Article content on Wikipedia is decided by consensus. For some categories of articles (high schools included in that), a general guideline for content has been established by consensus already. The title of this section links to those. Among the things that these guidelines talk about are:

  1. Using student names. We don't, unless that student is considered notable (which means they would qualify to have a biographical article on Wikipedia. That would be less than 100 students in the whole country; usually Olympic athletes. Child stars generally do not attend school--they have tutors).
  2. Achievements. The only achievements we discuss are state or national championships, with references. Not third places, not regional competitions.
  3. Items of primarily local interest. This is an encyclopedia article, not the school's webpage. It is intended to summarize the factual information available in other sources for an audience that includes the entire English speaking world. Do you really think someone in Brisbane or Calcutta gives a damn what play your school produced in the fall of 2011?

Please familiarize yourself with these guidelines. Thank you. John from Idegon (talk) 23:15, 30 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
