no independent sources demonstrating notability
editI'm not sure I understand this reason for proposing the deletion of this article. LEX and the Hippo Family Club are real phenomena that exist and have sources with contacts that can be used if needs be. The fact that these institutions exist, and that there are real people, real families taking part in them, I think, is enough to warrant their "notability."
Or is the presence of an article denoting real existing groups based on research being spun off as self-promotion? These phenomena are referenced in quite a few blogs, though admittedly, they lack reference in say, major media outlets and journals. Is it not enough that contactable sources can be found on the websites provided?
I browse WikiPedia quite often, and come across quite a few articles that lack "independent sources demonstrating notability." Is there a reason this particular article is being singled out? I hope the WikiPedia police are being fair and sweeping through their entire encyclopedia for articles without "independent sources demonstrating notability."KogeJoe (talk) 06:05, 15 October 2009 (UTC)
