I wonder where the species name kuda comes from. Kuda is "horse" in the Malay language. Is there any connection? — Cheers, JackLee talk 11:13, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

I wouldn't doubt it. The genus name, Hippocampus comes from the ancient greek, hippos meaning horse, and kampos, meaning monster. I wouldn't doubt that someone named a new species "horse monster horse". I'll check it out though, and see what I can find...Drew Smith What I've done 12:37, 11 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Wrong distribution map

edit

The map shows distribution on the Pacific coast of the Americas. The description indicates an Indo-Pacific distribution, mostly on the Asian side. Ptilinopus (talk) 11:58, 6 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
