• "of tropical cyclone warnings in the north Atlantic ocean." - Capitalization error; change that to either "of tropical cyclone warnings in the north Atlantic Ocean." or "of tropical cyclone warnings in the North Atlantic Ocean.", I don't care which but the current version is incorrect.
• "first based in Jamaica and Cuba before shifting to Washington, D.C.." - No need to wikilink Cuba twice, especially not in the same section
• "Forecasts within the hurricane advisories were issued one day into the future in 1954 before being extended to two days into the future in 1961, three days into the future in 1964, and five days into the future in 2001." - Kind of redundant to repeatedly say "x [number of days] day(s) into the future in xxxx [year]"; I would switch a few of those to something like "x day(s) in advance by xxxx".
• "was dissatified with the Signal Corp" ----> "was dissatisfied with the Signal Corp"
• "expansion of the Weather Bureau hurricane network through the Caribbean sea." ----> "expansion of the Weather Bureau hurricane network through the Caribbean Sea."
• "Tropical cyclone naming began for Atlantic tropical cyclones using the phonetic alphabet by 1947.[9] In 1953, the Weather Bureau started using female names for tropical cyclones." - I would consider merging these two sentences. For example: "The Weather Bureau began naming tropical cyclones in the Atlantic basin using the phonetic alphabet in 1947 [9] and later switched female names in 1953."
• Actually, come to think of it, mentioning naming the tropical cyclones and season dates seems rather off topic. I mean the article is titled "History of Atlantic hurricane warnings" and not "History of Atlantic basin tropical cyclone policies since 1870". Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong or looking at this incorrectly.
• "the National Meteorological Center duties (later renamed the Hydrometeorological Prediction Center)[26] gained advisory responsibility " - I don't think the word "duties" is really necessary.
• "and the group formerly known as the NHC became known as the Hurricane Specialists Unit (HSU)." - Unsourced
• "High Wind Warnings and Watches were issued (which denote >=39 MPH winds or >=58 MPH gusts)." - Why use "=>" when there is a greater than or equal to and less than or equal to symbols ("≤" "≥")?

Most of the issues have been fixed. Tropical cyclone naming and the hurricane season concept are done for the point of designating systems which are warned/advised upon and knowing whether to warn/advise upon them in the first place respectively, hence why they are mentioned in this article.
