In the Colonial period section, you jump around quite a bit. Sort out chronology, and be clear about what sort of rights or activity you are discussing: some is about economy, some is about authority, some is about civic and legal administration.
Format references as footnotes.
The section on slaves is good, in that it describes some particular practices of rights-bearing nationals. More context is needed, though.
Explain why end of Spanish rule was important for Cuban nationals, and tell what it meant (in practical terms) for some to maintain Spanish citizenship.
More hyperlinks within the text, offering further information on key terms, places, events, and ideas, would be useful.
