The reach of this article seems extremely broad. "The History of Derbyshire" is big enough to fill several books or encyclopedia in its own right. It's far more than could be written about in a single article.
Even if the county's entire history was compiled to extremely long article (which is an unfathomably large job), it would be treading on the toes of the countless other articles, which already exist, explaining individual aspect's of the county's history.
Do other counties have such pages or should this be deleted and the history left to each individual article?

- Must agree that this brief article does not perform a viable function. But broad subjects can be distilled down into good summaries. It's obviously a well-researched topic, and a local history scholar would have no trouble generating a page of great interest. Valetude (talk) 13:39, 13 March 2020 (UTC)
Derbyshire Hundreds
editCould some person with knowledge of Derbyshire (or knowledge of where to find local information on Derbyshire) write articles on the 6 hundreds of the county, complete with an outline map showing the locations of the hundreds within the county. --Oldontarian (talk) 12:12, 22 December 2016 (UTC)
- Hello Oldontarian. I've just created the article Hundreds of Derbyshire. Cheers, Douglal (talk) 14:33, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
