Economics section and comparisons to Chinese Americans
editWhy is the economics part of the article full of comparisons to the Chinese and how worse off Vietnamese Americans are compared to them. Could the article not leave the statistics by themselves or compare them to the general US population?
- Comment: - Thank you for commenting on the talk page about the issue. Now, if I had taken raw data and made an Wikipedia:Original research argument on my own comparing the Vietnamese to the Chinese, your removal would have been justified. However, this article made a point in comparing the economic status of the Vietnamese to that of the Chinese. Because a published author made that comparison and because including this information is not undue weight, it is Wikipedia's obligation to include this information. See Page 41: "The 1990 census fund that Vietnamese residents in Houston have a greater occupational distribution than Chinese residents[...]" and "Undoubtedly due to their more recent arrival, the Vietnamese in the Housotn area have not reached the same level of mainstream incorporation in the late 1990s that the Chinese have.
