Comment from 2005
editIsn't this copied in full from http://www.wiltonct.org/info_history.htm ? While there doesn't seem to be explicit copyright on that page, it is against the spirit of Wikipedia to just copy and paste something that's already available. cde 06:40, 26 August 2005 (UTC)

Plagiarism
editI am accusing this article of plagiarism. As it already was mentioned. This article is almost completely copy and pasted from https://www.wiltonct.org/welcome-wilton-ct/pages/wilton-town-history without any sourcing. Another issue with this page is its lack of sources.-Kieran207 (talk) 15:34, 12 November 2020 (UTC)
- Hmm, in other words you assert that this article is plagiarized, and I see there is similar assertion above from 2005. Sometimes town articles are copies of Wikipedia articles, i.e. it is the other way around, but okay I tend to believe you. Because this page has existed since at least 2005, and since there has been some useful development including link(s) to school articles, it seems better to me that this should be merged to the "History" section of the Wilton, Connecticut article, which currently links to here. Merger should be done with care to eliminate plagiarism (e.g. to use explicit quotes from the actual source, and/or to summarize rather than copy text), assuming the situation is as User:Kieran207 asserts. Discuss at Merger proposal at Talk:Wilton, Connecticut. --Doncram (talk) 21:22, 19 November 2020 (UTC)
