Redirect

edit

I've redirected this page. I don't see how it's any different than the article it's redirected to. OlYeller21Talktome 13:11, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

answer: There is a page history of science but there is no page for the history of humanistic studies such as art, history, classical studies, religious studies, literature etc. There for I established the page "History os scholarship" which is certainly not the same as "Scholarly methods" But OlYeller21 twice deleted my page and just made a REDIRECT to Scholarly methods. Can you please explain: Why should every discipline in the sciences and social sciences have a generic article "History of science" but not the many fields in arts and humanities? Isnt "History of scholarship" the proper term?

I agree with your argument but the problem is that you don't have a separate article for it; you have two sentences with no inline citations of one reference that you have provided. The reason I think that this should be a redirect at this point is that there's essentially one sentence of useful information here. This could be covered in the article I redirected it to. If you plan on expanding this article, perhaps you should do it in your userspace. OlYeller21Talktome 18:18, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply
If this is just going to be a list, perhaps it you should make it a WP:Category instead of an article. OlYeller21Talktome 18:18, 29 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

ANSWER: I'll try to built up the article, but it is a major and complicated task (compare History of science and I do hope that other scholars will help making this important article

OK. Next time, so that people don't have to take you at your word in mainspace, please start and make the article in your userspace then move it to mainspace. I've invited editors from three applicable Wikiprojects to assist you as it looks like you're having trouble with Wikipedia's formatting methods. OlYeller21Talktome 14:11, 1 November 2011 (UTC)Reply
This article fails the WP:GNG, there is no coverage in reliable sources of "history of scholarship" as a distinct academic area of study. I'm going to redirect it. - car chasm (talk) 18:48, 23 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
