Created image

edit

I created an image of famous Jews from Belarus:

David Sarnoff • Léon Bakst • Mendele Mocher Sforim • Oscar Zariski
Louis B. Mayer • Marc Chagall • Chaim Weizmann • Eliezer Ben-Yehuda

It was hard to create because the majority of Russian and American Jews have at least one grandfather from Belarus, but I decided to stick to those who actually were born in Belarus. Guitar hero on the roof (talk) 13:22, 16 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

"The Responsa"??

edit

A term comes up several times in this article, "responsa". But it doesn't seem to be defined anywhere. What WAS the responsa? 98.110.184.128 (talk) 20:04, 23 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Oscar Zariski

edit

The selection of people for this article is beautiful, really, perfect.

Can someone with some computer skill though make the Oscar Zariski picture smaller? You got all the pictures almost the same size, and then bang, Oscar Zariski has a picture with the proportions of Shlomi's wife. When someone tells a story (talk) 23:30, 17 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Cossack action not introduced

edit

"Effect of the Cossacks' Uprising in Belarus / The fury of this uprising destroyed the organization of the Jewish communities in Belarus." This is what the article says about the uprising. It is not even linked. The reader needs to know in short, simple terms what this is.Kdammers (talk) 12:21, 23 September 2015 (UTC)Reply
