• "Hitman 2" and "Hitman 2: Silent Assassin" are different games (hooray for series reboots). I support this movie given I sorted out the redirects pending an article on this 2018 game. --Masem (t) 23:30, 8 June 2018 (UTC)
  • Those worried about the incoming links via Hitman 2, [1] shows only 3-4 mainspace links, and all related to the announcement of this game The rest are user pages or a few WP-space pages. Prior to Thursday, where Hitman 2 redirected to "Hitman 2: Silent Assassin", automatic redirect bots would have resolved that, hence the few incoming links to worry about in mainspace. --Masem (t) 13:13, 9 June 2018 (UTC)
• Presently, I would say weak oppose per WP:RECENTISM. The redirect was suddenly changed after 15 years too, with no incoming links fixed. @Lordtobi: We disambiguate the title of Hitman (2016 video game) because there are other things that are also called just “Hitman” or “hitman”, including the franchise, the film, and the term itself, meaning someone who kills people for pay. There are also many other things called “Hitman” or “Hit Man,” as seen on the term’s disambiguation page. However, there is only one thing called Hitman 2, and that is the upcoming sequel to the 2016 Hitman game. Since Silent Assassin has a subtitle and is usually referred to with its subtitle, and the upcoming game is just called Hitman 2, I think it would be a good idea to move Hitman 2 (2018 video game) to Hitman 2 and have a hatnote at the top of the former redirecting the user to Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. A lot of articles will reference Hitman 2, and it would be easier without the disambiguation. In this scenario, neither article would have a disambiguation in their title.

Yes, the redirect "Hitman 2" targeted Silent Assassin for 15 years, so it shouldn't have been changed in the first place, especially given that no backlink to that redirect were updated. Also by "disambiguating Hitman" I meant that we incoroprate the year although there is no other game "just" called Hitman (the first one had the subtitle "Codename 47"). "Hitman (video game)" currently targets the franchise page, and as Netholic points out, it should probably also target there, but that requires discussion and cleaning up of backlinks. • Oppose - Neither game should be at Hitman 2 as it is too easily confusing for readers and editors. Turn Hitman 2 into a short DAB so that we can continue to find and resolve any incoming links to it to the proper games. The Primary Topic aspect isn't an issue. We have two games that have a natural distinguishing difference, by title. That falls under WP:PRECISION. And basically because of 2DAB, even if we kept the Hitman 2 redirect, one or both of these pages will still need a hatnote. The other factor to consider is that scraping google news prior to 2015, is that in the bodies of articles that bring up the older Hitman 2 game, they normally refer to it as its full name "Hitman 2: Silent Assassin" (since most of the games in the series came to be known as unnumbered sequels, eg "Hitman: Absolution"). --Masem (t) 13:25, 9 June 2018 (UTC)

The image is not compatible with Facebook when sharing for some reason

Can someone please just fix this quickly? • Image compatibility with third-party platforms is not really our responsibility. It is a working JPEG for us and that is really all we need. You can try taking the original image pasting into Gimp, Paint or whatever image tool you have and re-export it. Lordtobi (✉) 06:45, 12 June 2018 (UTC)
