Village or hamlet
editTechnically, Hobbys Yards is not a village but a hamlet, as we have no business.
The "village" consists of a church, a community hall, and nine private dwellings, several of them on large acreages adjacent to the hamlet, and is all within the Bathurst postcode area (our deliveries come via the post office at Perthville).
The census locality includes many surrounding farms, and those West of the "village" receive their mail via the post office at Blayney, and so have its postcode. Andrewa (talk) 21:51, 20 November 2017 (UTC)
Some more external links
edit- http://www.centralnswmuseums.orangemuseum.com.au/hobbys-yards/ seems to be a non-compliant fork of Wikipedia and contains some new (but perhaps inaccurate) information
- http://www.waymarking.com/waymarks/WMM5KG_St_Peters_Uniting_Church_Hobbys_Yards_NSW looks good, I might add it
- http://hobbysyards.pbworks.com/w/page/121913784/Hobbys%20Yards is my own creation but might be borderline at least, it's not an open blog and my fellow members of the Hobbys Yards Community Association (who take care of the Community Hall and are a formal subcommittee of Blayney Shire Council) do vet it for me, I'm not sure whether it should be listed as an external link but I'm sure I should not do it
and more to follow I'm sure. Andrewa (talk) 20:02, 24 December 2017 (UTC)
