Move to HockeyAllsvenskan
editShouldn't this page be renamed to HockeyAllsvenskan as that is the name used as of now? --claes 12:05, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- What about the name change? I still believe the article should have the name HockeyAllsvenskan. --claes 08:23, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- There are two previous names on the Tier II or second division. We have Allsvenskan (1982-83 to 1998-99) as spring season reflection of the fall season of Division 1, but with a tier III reflection called Fortsättningsserien (Allsvenskan Continues?). Then we have SuperAllsvenskan 1999-00 to 2004-05 as a similar thing but the tier III called Allsvenskan North & Allsvenskan South etc. I'm not even sure about the details myself... There seems to be a redirect page called HockeyAllsvenskan already, with few links to it. In my opinion, if the rename is to be made, there should be one page for each instance of the tier II / tier III complex thingy through the Elitserien history, for starters. Maybe not as verbose as the one on the sv.Wikipedia project page. --Bamsefar75 22:32, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- Page just got moved. Now we just need to create the historical second-level leagues, or add them to the article. :) --Bamsefar75 (talk) 18:01, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
- I added the history of second-level hockey and the leagues that have been called Allsvenskan in Swedish hockey. More can be done, absolutely. Pemer (talk) 11:54, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Well done! I've made some (mostly minor) edits to your text, hoping to prevent confusion around the terms Division 1 and Kvalserien, etc. --Bamsefar75 (talk) 16:40, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
- Looks great! Ah... a page on division 1 is needed, to... :-)Pemer (talk) 13:16, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Malmoredhawks.gif
editImage:Malmoredhawks.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 03:40, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- The image Image:Malmoredhawks.gif is a logotype, which is allowed to be used on Wikipedia according to Template:Non-free logo. --claes 13:32, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
- There is no source given for the image by the uploader, so I guess image is in danger of deletion but I'm sure it's easily replaced by a downsized version of http://www.hockeyallsvenskan.se/bilder/data/laglogo_66.jpg (400px) which is used on http://www.hockeyallsvenskan.se/klubbar/klubb.php?n=66 (the Allsvenskan webpage). --Bamsefar75 16:47, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
Logotypes under the new policy
editI haven't checked the details about policy and its dates, but my guess is that there also are fair use rationale problems with Image:AIK.jpg, Image:Hammarbyif.gif and Image:Leksands_IF_100px.gif as well as the Image:Malmoredhawks.gif image (above). However, I'm not sure about the true source of Hammarbyif.gif or Leksands_IF_100px.gif. Meanwhile, both AIK.jpg and Hammarbyif.gif are used on multiple articles, so I think that some info for the rationale is unavailable. (I've added a rationale to the other 12 team logos) --Bamsefar75 19:00, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

I edited some but..
editI am Swedish, and I edited some things with some new information from the recently finished 2008-2009 season, plus some about the future. But there is one thing, the map showing the places of the teams should be changed a little, I just don't know how to do that.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonti swe (talk • contribs) 00:05, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- Good, however there are functions for tables, for example last years Kvalserien to Elitserien 2008–09. And maybe some of your additions should be moved to a new Kvalserien to Elitserien 2009–10 article. The size of the seasons summary in the main article should be similar to the previous ones, I think. --Bamsefar75 (talk) 09:35, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
- I moved your (Jonti) table here since I think it belongs to Kvalserien and its sub-articles.

2011 club name change: Bofors IK to BIK Karlskoga
editAn official name change has happened, and I believe it happened during 2011. The team formerly known as Bofors IK is now BIK Karlskoga according to their official homepage - BIK Karlskoga. stats.swehockey.se, however, currently lists the team name as Bofors IK Karlskoga. Could someone please update this where it is relevant and update the logo as well? Ho-ju-96 (talk) 11:35, 2 February 2012 (UTC)

HockeyAllsvenskan → Hockeyallsvenskan – as per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (capitalization). "Hockeyallsvenskan" is the correct capitalization, and swwp spells it this way. Even if there are Hockeyallsvenskan marketing people somewhere who like to write it with a capital A in the middle, they don't own the language. Armigo (talk) 16:32, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose They do however own the name of their league. This is the proper capitalization of the proper noun version of the word. -DJSasso (talk) 12:49, 9 January 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose per DJSasso. This seems to be a legitimate use of CamelCase according to MOS:TM. Favonian (talk) 19:26, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
