Contested deletion
editThis page is not unambiguously promotional, because... all it does is state the track list of an actual album coming out and state facts as to who the producer and label is. It does not contain promotional language and seeks only to inform people of the facts about the recording. I'm happy to add references for the material asap. All is verifiable both at the label homepage and at holidays-rule.com, the official website of the album. The page itself was modeled after a similar page here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just_Tell_Me_That_You_Want_Me - which was never marked for deletion as far as I can tell. Not sure what the main issue is with this page. I've tried to keep it as non-promotional as possible. I'm not sure what else I can do other than add a reference. --Dave Henson 01:29, 18 October 2012 (UTC)Davehenson
I have now added a reference to the article for Pitchfork Media. Hopefully that will resolve the issue. Dave Henson 01:50, 18 October 2012 (UTC)Davehenson — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davehenson (talk • contribs)
- Verifiable reliable sources are always welcome. Oh, and please see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 01:54, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
I've now added a second citation for Idolator. I believe the page should be good now? Dave Henson 02:06, 18 October 2012 (UTC)Davehenson — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davehenson (talk • contribs)
- OK, I'll concede it exists, but do you have any actual reviews? See also WP:NALBUM. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 02:14, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
Thanks Jeff. I can add a great deal of references but the album won't be reviewed until it's in stores. The first reviews would come on or around October 30th. However, I'll be happy to add links to reviews at that time. I also feel that given the presence of Paul McCartney, The Shins, The Civil Wars and so many others on the album that it does meet the Notability requirement. - I scrapped most of the tags. I thought music reviewers got advance copies like film reviewers. Also, please fix your sig, SineBot doesn't like it. — Jeff G. ツ (talk) 02:32, 18 October 2012 (UTC)
Thanks Jeff. We do send advance copes out but do generally ask that publications hold their reviews until the week of street. That said, we do sometimes ask tastemaker sites/blogs to post an early review now and then depending on the type of release. This would be one. I'll post any early reviews that do come in on this as soon as they go live. Thanks again. Now I hope I get this sig rightDave Henson 18:25, 18 October 2012 (UTC). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Davehenson (talk • contribs)
