External links modified
editHello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on Holinshed's Chronicles. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20090706031438/http://kcl.ac.uk:80/depsta/iss/library/speccoll/bomarch/bomfeb05.html to http://www.kcl.ac.uk/depsta/iss/library/speccoll/bomarch/bomfeb05.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.

Does Arthur appear in these Chronicles?
editI'm wondering since it's earlier sources are bound to include works like Geophery of Monmouth.--JaredMithrandir (talk) 01:01, 5 December 2016 (UTC)
Wars of the Roses
editI’m still perplexed by the name Wars of the Roses. That article says the name became popular c1830, but doesn’t really say what name was used before; especially after The (2nd) Civil War (from 1642) – it suggests it was known as "the civil war" (and not "the cousin’s war"). What did Holinshed call it? What did Shakespeare call it? What did all the historians (and students) call it?
Synopsis
editThe page on Froissart's Chronicles has a simple outline of what's actually in the book. It's very useful. This page and Raphael Hollinshed's page say more about Shakespeare than about the Chronicles themselves. Can someone who may have read them in the past five hundred years add a few details?
