Is the ending correct?
editThe current version of the article says
- Homer refuses, and Mr. Burns does the prank on his own by pouring fish guts onto the parade spectators.
As far as I remember, Mr. Burns wasn't throwing the fish gads onto people, but in fact the man from the toy shop who had offered the role of St. Claus to Homer. (Only the last scene revealed that the man playing St. Claus wasn't Homer.) Or did I remember the ending incorrectly? --Kompik 23:37, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
You did. It was very obviously Mr. Burns. Next time you watch it look at Santa's nose Mr. Burns' nose is unmistakable. --85.155.193.98 10:59, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
Huh?
editWhy does 'retirony' redirect to this page?Marshmello 00:02, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Creator of the redirect page left the following explanation:
- "redirecting to episode page (term has been removed from neologism page"
However, I do not see this word anywhere in this page ... ??? --Kompik 22:03, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
I see now - this word was in the section "Quotes" -- such section are being moved now to wikiquote. Have a look at User:Kompik/sandbox#Simpsons. --Kompik 23:58, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
True. Maybe the "kid" that added quotes does not know about Wikiquote. —The Stone Cutter (talk • contrib) - 10:46, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
Comparison to The Magic Christian
editThe article says that the plot of this episode follows the movie The Magic Christian. I'm watching the film right now, and I'm having trouble seeing any significant parallels. Thematically, it might be a little similar -- they both seem to be about how everyone has a price -- but is that good enough for a mention here? Mattymatt (talk) 07:13, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- I think that's actually what ruined the episode. Homer fills the role of Youngman, but he's extremely uncomfortable in doing so, and ends up the victim as often as the accomplice. However, as cited, the intention was to reference The Magic Christian, and one can see where that initial inspiration still lingers under a pile of panda love. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.72.204.139 (talk) 06:57, 16 August 2017 (UTC)
"I was not the sixth.... incontinent"?
editThe chalkboard section is incomplete. Which of the following airings showed "I was not the Sixth Beatle" and which "I will not surprise the incontinent"? I hope there's at least one Fox/Global version using the incontinent gag.

Since the DVD says "I was not the sixth Beatle" we'll leave it as that. --Singing Sirloin (talk)
Raped by panda
editI read somewhere there was an scene of Homer wearing bloody pants after his rendezvous with the panda, but that it was discarted because it similarity to an scene from The Kite runner.
