Focus on United Methodist Church
editThe current article focuses entirely on issues within the UMC and does not discuss other Methodist denominations. Even the coverage of the UMC is somewhat lacking. There is not discussion of the grass roots movements within the church. These occur on multiple sides of the issue via the Reconciling Ministries Network and the Confessing Movement within the United Methodist Church. I've added some links under "see also". I would recommend removing the tags from 2010. The page has been greatly, and continues to be, diversified.SeminarianJohn (talk) 03:46, 21 May 2016 (UTC)

Bishop meeting in Chicago in 2018
editOn May 7, 2018 the Bishops in the United Methodist Church, a denomination long divided on questions of LGBT equality, have proposed allowing individual pastors and regional church bodies to decide whether to ordain LGBT clergy and perform same-sex weddings.

John Wesley's views on Homosexuality
editThis page lacks John Wesley's view, the very founder of Methodism. How can you expect to actually relate real information, and not just what the churches see? 199.36.88.103 (talk) 06:58, 25 July 2023 (UTC)
Putting things in order
editMy recent additions may have made a mess of things.
Certain information was removed from United Methodist Church but it needed to go somewhere. Now, with further edits, I'm not sure what is here now is in the right order.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 22:17, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- You've done a good job in trying to preserve information where it was deleted. It is important to preserve mention of the United Methodist Church's former positions, while showing that this has changed. I hope this helps. With regards, AnupamTalk 23:43, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- I still don't know if the order is correct.
- And the United Methodist Church section is so large I just wonder if it should be split.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 15:49, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
- At this time, I don't think that splitting the article is necessary. A summary of the information here is already duplicated at the article on the United Methodist Church so further content forks are discouraged. I hope this helps. With regards, AnupamTalk 17:19, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
- It's not about content forks. See my comment here.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 18:58, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
