From Honda 599
editThe 2004-2006 Honda CB600F, also called the Hornet in Europe or the 599 in the United States and Canada, is a motorcycle powered by a liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 599cc in-line 4-stroke 4-cylinder DOHC engine that produces just under 100 horsepower (75kW) and weighs 401lb (182kg) dry. The bike has a six-speed transmission. Its suspension consists of a front cartridge fork (inverted in 2006) and a rear single shock with adjustable preload. Its brakes are dual-disc in the front and single-disc in the rear. The rake is 25°, trail is 98mm, wheelbase is 1419.9mm, and seat height is 790mm. The engine is based on the unit from the Honda CBR600F3. It is manufactured in Italy using a small selection of Ducati components.
As a sport-oriented motorcycle that provides an upright riding position and lacks a fairing, it is considered a standard or "naked bike". Honda has had a CBR600 model since 1987.
Related is a 919cc fuel injected version called the CB900F (Hornet). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Roguegeek (talk • contribs) 03:33, 9 December 2006 (UTC).
The Euro Hornet section says that a 250 was available in Europe, but as far as I know it was not, it was only imported into Europe. The Hornet originates in the 250 version in Japan. Can anyone confirm this? Antnee (talk) 02:02, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
