Etymology section under Ordinary Mind

edit

I feel like the etymology section is a bit of a digression and disrupts the flow of the article. Is it necessary for the reader to know for instance that the character 平 ping has the meaning of "flat, level, equal, to tie (make the same score), to draw (score)"? Also, this section has some questionable citations. One source used is a book written by a blogger about his experience living in Japan ([1]https://www.amazon.com/Magic-Japan-Secret-Life-Changing-Experiences/dp/4805316527). In addition, the etymology section also uses a store website as a source ([2]https://www.paradisebound.ca/about-us/). Likes Thai Food (talk) 15:49, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

We could move it into a note, but I think it's usefull to have some explanation of the phrase. Joshua Jonathan - Let's talk! 17:51, 8 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
