It was proposed in this section that Honored Artist of the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic be renamed and moved to Honored Artist of the RSFSR.

Honored Artist of the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic → Honored Artist of the RSFSR – This is the correct English translation of the award. I don't believe articles on awards are usually in their original language unless they are well known internationally in their original language. Thriley (talk) 00:26, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and per WP:UE and WP:TRANSLITERATE — "Names not originally in a Latin alphabet, such as Greek, Chinese, or Russian names, must be Romanized. Established systematic Romanizations, such as Hanyu Pinyin, are preferred. However, if there is a common English-language form of the name, then use it, even if it is unsystematic". —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 00:51, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
- Comment: I just moved it from Заслуженный художник РСФСР to Honored Artist of the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic. What is more acceptable? The full "Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic" or the RSFSR? Thriley (talk) 00:57, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
- I would support using a direct transliteration of the original form, "RSFSR", while leaving the full English-language form, "Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic", as a redirect. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 01:27, 1 March 2021 (UTC)
