Added some personal commentary on the City. --rowead 07:35, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
Temperatures >40
editAccording to the BOM (at [1]) there are only 3 days per year above 40°C, so the comment about often exceeding this figure could be an exaggeration. Gazjo 11:54, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
That's interesting... I am from Horsham originally and I'm very surprised that the figure from the BOM is so low! I'm not sure that the Polkemmet Rd weather station is the one that the BOM usually goes by. There is another one in Horsham (Horsham AWS on the BOM website). ThePianoMan 13:43, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

This article has a lot that shouldn't be in Wikipedia
editA lot of work has been put into this article and I hate to say it, but a lot of it is not appropriate for Wikipedia. There's a lot here that's a wonderful community directory, but that's not what Wikipedia is. Please see Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not. Also, you don't have to know every detail, but skim over Wikipedia:Manual of Style to see how things should be capitalized, linked and formatted, etc.
I found some featured articles about Australian cities. Compare with these:
- Hamersley, Western Australia
- Waterfall Gully, South Australia
- Yarralumla, Australian Capital Territory
I'm sorry to be negative, and I'd be happy to help in making this article better and a better match to Wikipedia style. Let's talk and see what to do next. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 04:18, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- SchreiberBike - agree. Far too many sports and inline external links. Needs a slash and burn, sorry. Laterthanyouthink (talk) 04:44, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
- Go for the slash and burn. CountDuckula06 (talk) 09:06, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
- Slashing and burning, gently. There's a lot to do and many hands make light work. Thank you. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 17:18, 3 February 2022 (UTC)
Sam Summers Town
editI don't doubt that that's an alternate or historic name for Horsham, but if it is, /ˈhɔːrʃəm/ is not the pronunciation for it. Can any local shed light on this alternate name, or whether it's vandalism? If it's not, the IPA needs replaced. But in any case, maybe more needs to be written explaining the "Sam Summers Town" moniker? YellowAries2010 (talk) 06:50, 12 June 2023 (UTC)
