editRe: "Part of the original site is now home to the Reebok stadium, home of Bolton Wanderers." I thought the land that the Reebok and Middlebrook are built on was a farm and that the Loco works land didn't extend that far. paypwip (talk) 20:36, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have since checked this on old OS maps and the Loco Works land did not extend anyway as far as the current site of the Reebok stadium which was indeed farmland. The extent of the loco works was a point opposite the Texaco garage on Chorley New Road. I have therefore removed this line. paypwip (talk) 14:01, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Works in 1897
editThere is a useful description at http://archive.org/stream/pt3minutesofproce129inst#page/308/mode/2up about the works.
It contains a lot of additional info not in the article
Also see drawing at http://archive.org/stream/pt3minutesofproce129inst#page/n530/mode/1up
If the drawing is need for illustration a better quality one will probably be found at https://ia600504.us.archive.org/19/items/pt3minutesofproce129inst/ in the set of files labelled with "jp2" eg pt3minutesofproce129inst_jp2.zip - these are JPEG2000 image files of the scanned document. If need the image for the article but are having difficulties please ask.Oranjblud (talk) 20:51, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
