"the military"?

edit

The term "the military" is completely ambiguous. Either it should be changed to a more specific military, or better yet, a more specific branch of a specific military. For example, if this technology was actually developed by DARPA (to choose a random example.) it should read as such. If "the military" means the US military, then it also be changed as such. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.172.214.88 (talk) 20:23, 27 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Who makes the decisions ?

edit

"The main aim of this technology is to successfully make a decision on whether the batsman is dismissed or granted ‘not out’, "

Uh, no, the umpire makes the decision. The main aim of this technology, is to determine whether the umpire has made a mistake.Eregli bob (talk) 02:25, 15 May 2010 (UTC)Reply

Vaseline on bats

edit

Should we have some discussion on the page about whether Vaseline can be rubbed on the bat to stop edges showing on Hot Spot? Also been suggested that Hot Spot won't show anything if the ball hits a sticker. There has been a lot of talk about this on BBC Test Match Special recently. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-2005385/James-Anderson-So-Hotspot-really-Hotspot.html Ts4079 (talk) 13:35, 30 July 2011 (UTC)Reply
