What? No Walter Egan/Night HOT SUMMER NIGHT?

Hello Wikipedians,

this lyric was really annoying me. "We were friends that could pass any test".

After some investigating I found it was from Hot Summer Night which apparently had some connection with a Walter Egan.

[who is living and teaching music still as a sessional teacher].

And the one I knew from the radio was from a band I previously didn't know called NIGHT.

Anyway, it was not connected with any of the HOT SUMMER NIGHTS you mentioned.
